How did you get into designing invitations?
That is a question I often find myself giving an answer to, and I believe the story of how Ribbons & bows began answers it best.
I have been designing most of my life; I enjoy looking at things from a different prospective, finding a surprising and new way of using commonly known resources.
That is how it all began, that and seeing the frustration experienced by people around me when trying to find invitations and announcements that did more than just let their family and friends know a time and a place.
My first opportunity to design an event invitation came with a family member’s quinceañera celebration, which is the Spanish version of a sweet sixteen, I jumped at the chance to create her invitation and unsuspectingly began a most wonderful and rewarding journey.
From that event came my second opportunity, one of the guest at her party asked if I could design invitations for her daughter’s upcoming wedding, then there was a baptism, and then another event, more and more people would ask if I had any unique design ideas for their upcoming events. The requests kept coming, along with compliments and the suggestion to open-up shop; And so with a lot of help and support from some wonderful friends and a very loving and supportive family 2008 has become the launch year for Ribbons & Bows and it has given me the opportunity to pair my design abilities and motivation, with clients personalities and events to create one of a kind stationery for all kinds of wonderful occasions.
It is a blessing to love what you do, and I am truly blessed.
Thank you for the opportunity to be a part your unforgettable life’s moments.
